SUMMARY:“Together” - Is this how a just climate transition can happen?
DESCRIPTION:The latest film by Ronja and Niklas von Wurmb-Seib, “Together - How Can We Achieve a Just Climate Transition?” tells the story of the ambitious Citizens’ Jury “Klima-Aufbruch” in Erlangen. Citizens selected at random are tasked with defining the city of Erlangen’s path to climate neutrality within one year. A film about democracy in the age of the climate crisis, about opportunities for citizens to get involved, and about climate protection—and a compelling film about local politics. May people get involved again! Building on the themes of Fair Finance Week, participants in this event will discuss the role of the financial sector in the climate crisis following the screening of the film. Together with the filmmakers, they will explore the responsibility of society and politics for the success of social and ecological transformation: How can we build a positive future today? How do we involve all stakeholders in this process and recognize the value of a healthy climate? The evening is presented in cooperation with the GLS Bank and Oikocredit and will be attended by the filmmakers. Ronja von Wurmb-Seibel is an author (including *How We See the World: What Negative News Does to Our Thinking and How We Can Free Ourselves From It*) and a speaker.
