SUMMARY:Dynamic Facilitation Methodology Seminar
DESCRIPTION:When groups are faced with important decisions and the issues at hand are challenging, complex or contentious, a framework is needed that provides a sense of security whilst also fostering openness. Dynamic Facilitation (DF) was developed precisely for such situations: to bring new clarity to complex, emotionally charged or deadlocked processes and to enable creative, sustainable solutions to emerge. The method is used successfully in citizens’ and staff councils, in development, strategy and change processes, as well as in organisations and communities. In this three-day methodology seminar, you will learn Dynamic Facilitation from the ground up. You will understand the method’s specific principles and develop the skills to apply DF confidently and effectively. Target audience The seminar is aimed at people who support complex issues, particularly in participatory processes, organisations, teams, projects or coaching. What to expect Learning through practical application and reflection The seminar offers a learning environment based on mutual respect. Short theoretical sessions alternate with intensive practical exercises. You will have ample opportunity to apply the method yourself, to practise and to deepen your understanding. Appreciative, constructive feedback and shared reflection will support your learning process. We view different perspectives, experiences and ways of thinking as an enrichment – both for the learning process and for the quality of the resulting solutions. Aims of the seminar Navigating complexity – step by step You will gain a thorough understanding of Dynamic Facilitation and its distinctive featureswill develop confidence in applying the methodwill understand the process of Choice Creatingwill learn to mindfully navigate tensions and emotional dynamics within groupswill expand your personal facilitation practicewill recognise the diverse applications of DF across different fields of work Where is Dynamic Facilitation particularly effective? Facilitating complex topics Wherever there appear to be no solutions, or too many; wherever the voices of a larger group need to be heard; or wherever an invisible knot stands in the way of a solution. Works councils & organisational development Ideal when teams, departments or entire organisations are facing important decisions, need to resolve deadlocked situations or wish to develop new, creative approaches. Citizens’ assemblies & public participation Dynamic Facilitation makes complexity discussable, strengthens mutual understanding and opens up paths to often surprising, collectively supported solutions.
