The Lümo Citizens’ Jury in Lübeck

How can the on-demand bus service Lümo be further developed to meet people’s needs as an alternative to private cars? Twenty-eight people from Lübeck, Stockelsdorf and Bad Schwartau explored this question in citizens’ juries. Researchers from the Institute for Human-Centred Interactive Systems (IMIS) at the University of Lübeck provided scientific support throughout the process.

At the upcoming meeting of the Lübeck Citizens’ Assemblies Working Group, Dr Tim Schrills from the University of Lübeck will be visiting to discuss how the citizens’ juries on the Lümo municipal utility project went.

What are the experiences of the mini-public members, and how have the other stakeholders (municipal utilities, politicians, administration) responded to the jury’s findings? How can we move forward from here?
